First steps

Mr Antoine CHABANNE started out by producing clothespins, ceiling hooks and later bucket handles in a workshop located in Saint-Galmier, France.

First 1,000-square-metre factory was built and later expanded to 3,000 square metres. The development of manufactured products has followed two directions:

  • Expanded and perforated corner beads, roof tile hooks, hooks for suspended ceilings and later metal lath products

  • Manufacturing of wire products intended for the automotive, household appliance, electrical, leisure industries and more. www.chabanne-industrie.fr

Dominique and Jacques Chabanne joined the company to take over its management.

Chabanne SAS expanded further

The headquarters as well as the entire production related to wire work were moved to a new 5,000-square-metre factory. The initial factory was dedicated to the Building division.

The company had 2,000 square metres of additional workshops and warehouses built for the Industry division, acquired a CAD system and expanded its state-of-the-art equipment.
